Rules...

Ok, so it's not every day that I think of something to post... but sometimes I just can NOT resist!

Here at our house, if it's Sunday and we didn't make it to Sunday school or Church, we do Sunday school together here at home. We have special bible activities and stories just for these occasions. Today is one of those Sunday's and it's been so fun that I have to share it.

Today we read about when God appeared to Moses on Mt. Sinai and gave the people the Ten Commandments. Throughout the story, we have many opportunities to discuss rules, commandments, covenants and what these all mean. We talk about the rules at our house, and how many are there.... Abigails response is "A TON!" and proceeds to list rules that I didn't even KNOW were rules! It is suggested that we Pray about rules that are hard for us to obey, remembering that for every rule there is a reason. Here comes AvaLynn's funny.... her sweet little prayer includes.... "and be careful of giants so you dont get squished!"
hmmmm... I hadn't realized that giants were a problem here!

Next activity is to grab your favorite game and play it normally first..... Then pretend that there ARE no rules! Abby chose Hungry, Hungry Hippo. Nice Noisy Easy game. Well, it came time for no rules and I (being the rule breaker that I am) grabbed all of the little balls right off of the center of the game. Hehe, Abby stared in shock and then about fell off her chair laughing! Ava thought that was funny and just giggled.... So much for something terrible happening when you break all the rules right?

Needless to say, I am Laughing and loving it!
However, as I'm typing this, they are still playing - rules AND no rules.... I think I will go supervise.
