Hehe, ok, for those of you who know me well.... I should have the word sucker emblazoned on my forehead!!!!
My little one LOVES critters, she wants to be " a Momma, a Dancer, and a Zoo Keeper... " someday.
So, our latest adventure is little Johnnie Hairy Hamm. His name is strange, I agree. - but, when you hear the origins, I'm SURE you will understand!
We have in our family now 5 little critters (NOT including children!) We have Noah, little old man dog, named by Me. Rose, cat given to us by our dear friend, named by Abby. Boy - our Bird - Named by little miss Ava. (she says he's a boy, so that's his name!) Henrick - our turtle niece that we are taking care of for the year for Aunt Sarah and now Johnnie Hairy Hamm - our new hamster.
Little Johnnie Hairy Hamm was born at Ava Lynn's School. He is one of 5 brothers and sisters and he needed a home.... SO.... of course he got a home. With us. ok, granted, he's cute. and when you have as many little critters as we have, what's one more to remember to feed right?
When we first asked Ava what she wanted to name him.... she said what I thought was Cycle. I asked again... Cycle? she said yes. ok - me thinking firmly that I should let her name it whatever she wanted - agreed. HOWEVER - the actual day the critter came home - Yesterday - I come to find out she is actually calling him Psycho - like the teacher at school does (not her teacher) NICE... Not really - So... I explained to her that psycho probably isn't the best name for a sweet hamster - so she quickly came up with Johnnie. (poor Grandpa! I'm guessing this is her variation of HIS name!)
Now, since I keep calling the thing Hammy... Abby keeps calling it little Hairy.... and Ava is convinced he's a "johnnie" His name is Johnnie Hairy Hamm. welcome to the family Johnnie! We'll try not to let the cat eat you!
