Sweet Prayers & Big Questions

Listening to my children pray is one of my absolute favorite things to do. They are so innocent, sweet, sincere, honest. You name it, at least this is the case with Ava. She bares her lil soul when she says her goodnight prayers. The latest most recent precious concern on her mind came out tonight... .when as an afterthought to her main prayer... she quickly added,

" and please forgive me when I yell at my mom when I'm a teenager"

Hehe, ok, keep in mind she is 4 years old! She had a bit of a sassy day, and I had to remind her numerous times that the next time I had to say something to her about it she was headed to her room. (notice the numerous times that it was the "next" time) What can I say!

Ava Lynn is also the queen of the Big Questions.
Lately each morning she has one ready for me when she hops in my bed around 6 am. ( I stopped needing an alarm clock as soon as I put her in her "big girl bed") The other day it was :

Why do we have Color?

I proceeded to use the trees we could see as an example and explained to her that God wanted us to enjoy looking at everything he had made. I asked her what would it all look like with no color on it? She answered thoughtfully "White right?" Which I agreed to and thought sounded pretty perceptive. Yesterday it was: "What are we made of?" Lol, mind you, it was early so I don't even remember my response!

Have I mentioned that some of my very favorite people to talk to are my children?
